The aerospace supply chain has undergone significant strain over the past decade due to transformations, cost pressures, aggressive program ramp-ups, skills shortages resulting from the pandemic, escalating labor demands, and generational shifts. There will be no acceptable ramp up in the industry without quality and safety. This panel seeks to anticipate the evolving dynamics within the supply chain as the industry gears up to transition towards new production approaches and initiate new programs in the early 2030s.

Of particular interest is the examination of how relationships between Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and the various tiers of the supply chain will evolve. This scrutiny becomes more pertinent as technological advancements facilitate more decentralized production and the establishment of a network of interconnected factories.

Our panelists will delve into this issue, exploring how the industry can navigate the challenges of production transition in the current decade. This directional shift involves shedding legacy programs, intensifying the integration of automation, and preparing for further transformations ahead of the next decade.
15:00 - 16:00 5th Panel: Advanced air mobility reality check

Jim Anderton, Director of Content at ENGINEERING.com will lead the discussion featuring:

- Sergio Cecutta, Partner at SMG Consulting
- Sébastien Vigneron, Senior Vice President, Engineering and Programs at Wisk
- Paul Dupire, Senior Business Unit Manager, MIGSO-PCUBED

We live in exciting times! Advances in electrical and lightweighting technologies have allowed the emergence of a completely new market. New sustainable electrical/ hybrid aircraft and electrical vertical take-off and landing vehicles (eVTOL) have the ambition to replace traditional gas-powered helicopters and some of the ground transportation seen in crowded metropoles. But getting into the rapidly evolving landscape of air mobility has its own flaws: certification and regulatory framework evolution, noise public acceptance, ability to ramp-up production to AAM levels, create the enabling infrastructure, or operate a profitable business.

- Following what some AAM players are showcasing, will we see any of this soon?
- Which use cases between air taxi, cargo, or emergency services will likely be operated first?
- What’s technology’s maturity today?
- What would it take for a startup to become the next Boeing or Airbus?

Join us in this captivating discussion between thought-leaders and innovators, around the readiness of technological breakthroughs, regulatory considerations, and the societal impact of these innovations.

This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into the future of air travel that inspire and inform us as we navigate the uncharted skies of Advanced Air Mobility.
