Aditi Bhide is an aerospace engineer for AeroTEC in Seattle. She graduated from the University of Mumbai in 2014 with her Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. During that time, she had the privilege to work on a solar array that is still in space today! Then in 2016, she graduated from the University of Washington (UW) with her Masters in Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering. In early 2017, Aditi learned about AeroTEC and was hired on initially as an intern. She appreciated that AeroTEC was a unique company where you can work on many different aircraft and help solve a variety of aerospace problems. By the end of 2017, she was hired full time and staring the Junior Engineering Development Initiative (JEDI) Program. During the JEDI program, Aditi made four rotations – Flight Sciences, Interiors, Avionics Design, and Aviation Testing. Out of those four, her favorites were Avionics Testing (where she got to help support several simulation testing) and Flight Sciences (where she eventually joined full time). From the program she was able to learn a ton of information and gain a lot of experience, like the ability to adapt to different team dynamics, processes and facets of engineering and aircraft.
