Vamsi Alla is a Managing Director in J.P. Morgan’s Corporate Advisory & Sustainable Solutions team where he advises clients on a variety of corporate finance and sustainability topics such as low-carbon transition strategy, financing of green projects, ESG ratings, ESG IPO positioning, capital allocation, capital structure, shareholder base evolution, and shareholder value creation strategies. Vamsi also helps structure innovative financing solutions to bridge the gap between green companies/projects and pools of sustainability focused capital. Vamsi is one of the lead architects of the Carbon Compass framework that outlines JPMorgan Chase’s approach to aligning its financing portfolio with the goals of the Paris agreement. In addition to his client advisory work, Vamsi leverages his data, analytics, and visualization expertise to generate differentiated and insightful sustainability and corporate finance content.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Vamsi was Head of Analytics for the build out of an investment banking advisory platform that analyzed a wide variety of corporate finance datasets and generated actionable insights for C-Suite executives.
Vamsi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from National Institute of Technology, India and a Master’s degree in Financial Mathematics from New York University; Vamsi is also a CFA charter holder.
