Climate change is accelerating the spread of diseases by altering ecosystems, expanding the habitats of disease-carrying organisms, and increasing extreme weather events that directly impact our health. Join this session lead by the Life Science Committee of the French American Chamber of Commerce Seatle PNW, where our panelists will discuss what scientists, health care providers, and each of us can do to protect our health.

Moderated by Elizabeth Cross Nichol (Life Science Washington Institute), the discussion will explore the rising spread of infectious diseases, vaccine innovation, and public health strategies to combat climate-driven health risks.

Expert panelists include Dr. Kristie Ebi (University of Washington), Curt Malloy (HDT Bio), and Marion Avril (MalarVx, Inc.), who will provide insights on disease trends, vaccine accessibility, and scientific advancements in health security. They will also address common misconceptions about climate change and vaccines and discuss solutions for protecting communities worldwide.
